Cricket South Africa inks partnership with Viacom18

Indian sports network Viacom18 Sports has announced a new partnership with Cricket South Africa (CSA). The seven-year partnership will see Viacom18 Sports gain exclusive digital and television rights for all CSA-affiliated senior men’s and women’s international cricket competitions played in South Africa.

The partnership, which will kick off from 2024 and last till 2031, aims to strengthen the Proteas fanbase in India. The deal will cover a host of series, including the Mahatma Gandhi-Nelson Mandela series between India and South Africa, the Basil D’Oliveira series between South Africa and England, and the South African tours of Australia, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and the West Indies.

Aside from Cricket South Africa, Viacom18 Sports also holds rights of various international sporting events such as the Indian Premier League, SA20, FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, NBA, Diamond League, LaLiga Santander, Serie A TIM and Ligue 1 Uber Eats as well as top ATP and BWF events.
