August 14, 2023

Sports equipment and kit manufacturer Dunlop has been announced as an Official Supplier of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games (commonly referred to as “Paris 2024”).

As a supplier, Dunlop will be providing tennis balls during the events. Dunlop was also the Supplier of tennis balls during the Tokyo 2020 Games.

The Olympic and Paralympic Games partnership adds to Dunlop’s already impressive partnership portfolio, which includes the men’s ATP, the Monte-Carlo Masters, the Madrid Open and Internazionali BNL d’Italia. Dunlop is also the official ball supplier of the Australian Open till 2028.

Ken Yamamoto, Head of Tennis Business, Sumitomo Rubber Industries (the company responsible for producing and distributing the Dunlop brand), commented:

I am very pleased to announce Dunlop as the sole supplier of tennis balls to Paris 2024, adding another fantastic event to our plethora of top-level tournament partnerships. To announce this in 2023 during our 100-year celebration is a great honour and testament to all the R&D, hard work and vast experience that has gone in to our tennis balls over the years.

Dunlop is dedicated to providing health and happiness through sport at all levels and abilities and we fully support and share the values and spirit the games are always played, as well as those of the ITF, especially in their continual drive to develop and grow the sport, from playground to podium. We are all excited for Paris 2024 and look forward to sharing and showcasing our passion, dedication and love of the game on the biggest stage for international sport.

David Haggerty, President, ITF, commented:

This is exciting news and we congratulate Dunlop on being selected as the sole supplier of tennis balls for the Olympics and Paralympics tennis events, following their success at Tokyo 2020. Every year at our Davis Cup and Billie Jean King Cup events, we see how much it means for tennis players to represent their countries.

That passion is intensified at the Olympics and Paralympics, and it always gives me great pride to watch the best players in the world battle it out for medals. With less than a year to go until the Olympics, and just over a year to go until the Paralympics, the next 12 months is going to be filled with anticipation.

The tennis games at the Olympics are scheduled to be held between July 27 and August 4, 2024, while the Paralympic tennis matches are scheduled to be held between August 30 and September 7, 2024.
