We have just one game taking place on Day 10 of the 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, in which we have two very contrasting teams taking on each other.

Canada, who are riding high after their win over Ireland, take on Pakistan, who are all but out of the World Cup after losses to the USA and India

Here’s a quick preview of the game ahead of us.

Men’s T20 WC ’24 Match 22: Pakistan vs Canada | 20:00 IST, June 11

After losses to the US and India, Pakistan’s ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 dreams are hanging by a thread. Not only do they need to win all their games, they also need other results to go their way. They face Canada next, who surprised Ireland with a stunning win, so we may be in for another close encounter.

In any other circumstances, with these two teams meeting, Pakistan would be the overwhelming favourites, but given their current form and Canada’s strong outings, this game will not be as one-sided as one might think.

The superior bowling attack of the Men in Green will definitely give them an edge, while Canada will be looking for a repeat of their Houdini act against Ireland to restrict the Pakistani batters. The Pakistani bowlers showcased their class against India, and it almost got them over the line but for their sloppy fielding and uninspiring batting.

It will once again come to the small margins, but even with two losses, it is hard to look past Pakistan for this encounter. We should be in for a close game, yet one that will have Pakistan slightly ahead.

Fantasy XI: Babar Azam, Aaron Johnson, Navneet Dhaliwal, Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Rizwan, Nicholas Kirton, Shreyas Movva, Haris Rauf, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Mohammad Amir, Jeremy Gordon

Venue: New York
Winner Prediction: Pakistan
