ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024: Day 24 Match Predictions

We have reached the final game of the Super Eight stage of the 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.

We still don’t have our semi-finalists confirmed, however, with Afghanistan and Bangladesh still in the mix for that final spot from Group 1.

Ahead of the crucial game on Day 24, here’s my predictions for the game.

Men’s T20 WC 2024 Match 52 || Super Eights Group 1: Afghanistan vs Bangladesh | 06:00 IST, June 25

Following their massive upset against Australia, Afghanistan take on Bangladesh in the final game of the Super Eights before the tournament moves into the semi-final stage.

Should Afghanistan win convincingly, they will book their place in the semi-final, but it’s not all over for Bangladesh yet. If India beat Australia and the Bangla Tigers can inflict a big loss to the Afghanis, they themselves can qualify.

It’s all to play for right up until the end, and given the form of both the teams, Afghanistan are the favourites, though Bangladesh are known to never give up.

At the low-scoring and slow Kingstown wicket, both the Asian teams will thrive, but with everything to play for and a never-die spirit, I predict Bangladesh to edge out Afghanistan in a close match.

Fantasy XI: Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Ibrahim Zadran, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Towhid Hridoy, Shakib Al Hasan, Gulbadin Naib, Rashid Khan, Mohammad Nabi, Fazalhaq Farooqi, Mustafizur Rahman, Rishad Hossain

Venue: Kingstown
Winner Prediction: Bangladesh
