Fernando Alonso has been a part of the F1 circuit for over two decades now, having made his debut way back in 2001. The Spaniard has had an illustrious F1 career filled with several accomplishments and, till date, is the only Spanish driver ever to win both a Grand Prix and a World Championship.
Alonso won two back-to-back F1 Championships with Renault in 2005 and 2006. Since then, he has gone on to represent several other teams, which include Minardi, Ferrari, McLaren and, currently, Alpine.
In his long career, Alonso has managed 98 podium finishes and won 32 races. He had announced his retirement from the sport in 2018, but he returned to it by joining Alpine. Now coming to the end of his career, in the 2022 F1 season, Alonso will look to reach 100 podium finishes in his career and add another win to his accomplishments if possible.
