Sourav Ganguly announced as brand ambassador of Tripura Tourism

Former Indian cricket team captain and ex-Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) President Sourav Ganguly has been announced as a brand ambassador for Tripura Tourism.

The announcement was made by Tripura’s Chief Minister, Manik Saha, following a meeting between Tripura Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury, other state officials, and Ganguly at his Kolkata home. 

Commenting on the development, Sushanta Chowdhury of Tripura Tourism Minister said:

Our Tripura state tourism needs a lot of promotion and proper branding to take it to the world and for that we need a popular brand ambassador who is known all over the world! Who could be a more popular personality than our beloved Dada Sourav Ganguly, the former captain of the Indian cricket team, to promote Tripura’s tourism to the world?

Manik Saha, Tripura’s Chief Minister, also tweeted the following:
