Frances Tiafoe Jr: Brand endorsements

Bhavya Das Bhavya Das

Frances Tiafoe Jr. is an American professional tennis player born on January 20, 1998, in Maryland, USA.

Frances “BIG” TiaFOE, a.k.a, “Big Foe”, is ranked No. 26 in the world as of September 8, 2022. He has created a hype for himself early in his career by being the youngest American ranked in the Top 50 by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP).

“Big Foe” has reached tournament finals three times in the last four years. He won in Delray Beach (outdoor/hard) in 2018 and is still awaiting a big title for himself, though he has reportedly won over US$6 million from his singles and doubles wins combined.

Here is a small brief on all the brands that have associated themselves with “Big Foe”.

Nike

Tiafoe had a sponsorship deal with German sportswear giant Adidas during his early days. However, he later signed a deal with its rival brand Nike in 2017. Since then, Nike has been looking after Tiafoe’s on-court and practice clothing and footwear.

In March 2018, Tiafoe revealed his custom-made tennis shoes by Nike on his social media. The special-edition Nike Air-Max Zoom is the first signature shoe for the American tennis star.

Yonex

In 2017, Yonex signed Tiafoe as a brand ambassador alongside French professional tennis player Caroline Garcia.

Tiafoe started his career with Wilson racquets but has been with Yonex since he was an 18-year-old. He began by endorsing the Yonex VCORE Duel G 97 and is currently using the Yonex VCORE Pro 97 310.

TAG Heuer

In the first week of the 2019 Australian Open, luxury watch brand TAG Heuer roped in Tiafoe as a brand ambassador. “Big Foe”, therefore, wears and flaunts his TAG Heuer collection on his social media, especially the TAG Heuer Carrera collection.

Nesquik

Nestlé’s protein-packed milk brand Nesquik made Tiafoe the main face of its advertising at the start of 2020. He has since appeared in a series of digital ads as part of Nesquik’s #KeepOnChuggin campaign.
