Bundesliga International, the overseas division of the German Bundesliga, has extended and expanded its partnership with Swiss sports tech company Sportradar.
The partnership extension will see Sportradar continue on as the Official International Betting and Streaming Rights Provider of 1. Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga.
The new long-term deal, set to run until the 2031/32 season, will take the partnership into its 25th year by the time it ends.
With the new agreement, Sportradar has also acquired the rights to sublicense German Bundesliga content for its international sportsbook clients. It will also distribute gameday data from the two tiers’ matches for use as betting data.
The partnership has also been expanded to cover the German Bundesliga’s esports tournament, Virtual Bundesliga, for which Sportradar now holds the exclusive streaming and betting rights as well.
Peer Naubert, Chief Marketing Officer, Bundesliga International, said:
“The Bundesliga has long been regarded globally as a frontrunner when it comes to cutting-edge innovation, and our long-term partnership with Sportradar continues to reflect this.“
Moritz Gloeckler, Managing Director, Partner and Content Management RoW, Sportradar, said:
“This agreement aligns with our broader strategy to selectively invest in long-term rights across key global sports which enable the continued innovation and enhancement of our offerings for our clients. We look forward to many years of partnering with the Bundesliga to redefine the soccer fan experience.“
