Day 10 of UEFA Euro 2024 was filled with more thrilling action, albeit with just two games taking place.
In the first contest, Switzerland nearly beat Germany to clinch the top spot in this group, while Scotland saw the exit doors in the first stage of the competition after an incredible game with Hungary.
Euro 2024 Match 25: Germany 1-1 Switzerland
Germany started the better of the two sides in this contest and even went ahead through Robert Andrich in the 17th minute, only to see the goal chopped off by VAR for a foul in the build-up.
After this moment, it was the Swiss who snatched the lead via Dan Ndoye in the 28th minute. Although they provided a gritty defensive display and proved to be a threat on the counter, Switzerland eventually couldn’t keep up with the German pressure as Niclas Füllkrug levelled the proceedings in stoppage time to help his side top the group,
Germany had more possession (67%) and produced a significantly greater number of shots (18 to 4), though only three of them were on target, just like the Swiss.

Euro 2024 Match 26: Scotland 0-1 Hungary
In parallel to the aforementioned game was this thrilling match between Scotland and Hungary, both of whom needed to win in order to keep alive their hopes of progressing into the next round.
While both sides threw punches throughout the contest, Hungary managed to break the deadlock late into stoppage time and put an end to Scotland’s campaign following Kevin Csoboth’s 100th-minute goal.
Towards the end of the tie, it was Hungary that looked like the side who wanted it more and recorded 14 shots overall in the match, five of them finding the target. Meanwhile, Scotland couldn’t trouble the opposition goalkeeper at all as none of their four attempts found the frame of the goal.
