Lyca Mobile
Lyca Mobile, a British mobile virtual network operator, and the Uganda Cricket Association announced a partnership agreement in January 2024.
As part of the deal, Lyca Mobile has pledged substantial support, envisioning the sustainable growth of cricket from grassroots initiatives nurturing young talent to advancements in the professional leagues, showcasing seasoned athletes.
Fitness Junction
Fitness Junction, a leading fitness hub renowned for its state-of-the-art facilities and expertise in sports training, joined hands with the Uganda Cricket Association to become the official wellness partner of the Cricket Cranes (nickname of the Uganda men’s national cricket team) in April 2024.
As part of the deal, Fitness Junction provides fitness equipment, personalised training programmes, and nutritional guidance tailored to the specific needs of the athletes.
Kansai Plascon
In March 2022, Kansai Plascon, a paints company, signed a two-year partnership deal with the Uganda Cricket Association, which is set to run until the end of the 2024 ICC Men’s T20 Cricket World Cup.
As per the the deal, Kansai Plascon helps cater the national team and take care of off-field schemes that it thinks will serve the players long after they’ve stopped playing. The UCA has also been pledged USh240 million (Ugandan Shilling) in total—USh140 million in cash; USh70 million each year. The remaining USh100 million is set for off-field activities, to be given as USh50 million each year, contributing towards building the sport in the country.
Endiro Coffee
In November 2018, Endiro Coffee, a Ugandan chain of coffee shops, signed a partnership agreement with the Uganda Cricket Association, thus becoming the shirt sponsor of the Uganda men’s national cricket team in a deal reportedly worth USh9 million.
