Cricket Australia (CA), the country’s cricket-giverning body, has announced a multi-year partnership with Westpac, a multinational banking and financial services company, bringing it on board as its Principal Partner.

The four-year partnership will see Westpac also act as an Official Partner of the Big Bash League and the Women’s Big Bash League.

Westpac will help CA grow cricket in Australia across all levels and provide opportunities for girls and women on and off the field, including support initiatives aiding local clubs, volunteers, and communities, as well as projects to make sure everyone has access to the game.

Additionally, Westpac will have its logo present front and centre on the Australia men’s and women’s national team kits across the three formats, as well as on the Australia A and Australia U19 teams.

Westpac will also take up the role of Presenting Partner of the National Indigenous Cricket Championships and Indigenous international games in a bid to support the game in the First Nations.

On the Westpac agreement, Todd Greenberg, CEO, Cricket Australia, commented:

We’re thrilled to welcome Westpac as Cricket Australia’s new Principal Partner.

This partnership represents a shared commitment to making a positive impact on the field and in the community. We aim to elevate the experience of fans and participants and together grow the game.

Westpac’s support will directly contribute to initiatives that elevate participation and visibility in our sport and help support our vision of making cricket a sport for all. We couldn’t be more excited about the impact we can achieve together.

Anthony Miller, CEO, Westpac, said:

We’re excited to step up to the crease and back Australian cricket.

Like Westpac, cricket in Australia has a long and proud history stretching back 200 years. As Australia’s oldest bank, we can’t wait to join forces with one of Australia’s oldest sports and help shape the future of this great game.

Through this partnership we’ll work with Cricket Australia to grow cricket at all levels, engaging players, fans and club communities around the country.

As the first sponsor to feature simultaneously on both the men’s and women’s team shirts here at home, we look forward to investing in Australian cricket across all forms of the game, beginning with next month’s games against South Africa, followed by both India teams and this summer’s highly anticipated Ashes series.
