Former F1 driver takes up a new role.

INDYCAR and former Formula One driver Romain Grosjean has been revealed as a technical advisor to Motorsport Games, developer of sim racing title rFactor.
As technical advisor, the former Haas and Lotus driver will work with Motorsport Games, providing the team with valuable information about how to grow its esports arm and also how to improve the rFactor 2 simulation platform. He will also be closely involved in all of Motorsport’s esports events. The French driver is not a stranger to esports and already owns a sim racing team, R8G esports.

Speaking about his new partnership, Romain Grosjean, Technical Advisor for Motorsport Games, commented:
“The link between real-life racing and sim racing continues to get closer and it has become an increasingly important tool for companies, teams and championships throughout motorsport.”

Gérard Neveu, Motorsport Advisor for Motorsport Games, added:
“While Romain’s experience and skill in real-world motorsport are very well known across the world, he has also shown in recent years that he has in-depth knowledge and experience of esports and sim racing.
“Therefore, he is a perfect fit for this new role as technical advisor to Motorsport Games and his vast experience will help us immensely as we develop rFactor 2 and further expand our esports events.”

After not being retained by American Formula One team Haas in 2021, Grosjean switched to INDYCAR where he currently drives for Andretti Autosport.
