Qualification to the Semi-finals of the 2024 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup is on the line for both England and the West Indies as they face off in the final Group B game.

The Group B toppers have been impressive so far, with both their batters and bowlers in fine form. They thrashed neighbours Scotland by ten wickets in their last game.
England opener Danni Wyatt-Hodge has been in fine form, giving her side solid starts every game. Star spinner Sophie Ecclestone has been among the wickets, while all-rounder Nat Sciver-Brunt has also performed with both bat and ball; things could hardly get any better for the Lionesses right now.
On the other hand, the West Indies have had their struggles but still have a shot at the knockouts. However, they don’t just need to beat England; they need to do it with a big margin. They did win their last match comfortably against Bangladesh, but South Africa also beating Scotland by a huge margin means the Proteas have a higher net run rate, leaving the Windies with a mighty task on their hands.
England are the on-paper favourites for this encounter, though it’s important to keep in mind that a shock huge defeat against the West Indies will knock them out and see South Africa qualify to the semis alongside the side from the Caribbean.
