Cars24 has been revealed as the IPL team’s title sponsor.
Hyderabad-based Indian Premier League franchise SunRisers Hyderabad have announced Cars24 as their title sponsor for the upcoming IPL season.
As title sponsors, the online used car marketplace will get front-of-shirt branding rights, and the deal is reported to be worth around INR 15 crore for a total of three years.
Based in Gurugram, Haryana, Cars24 was founded in 2015 and has former Indian and Chennai Super Kings captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni as an investor.
SunRisers Hyderabad had JK Lakshmi as their previous title sponsor, but the two ended their partnership following the 2021 IPL edition.
The Indian Premier League will host a mega-auction in Bangalore on February 12 and February 13, and going into the auction, SRH have retained Kane Williamson, Abdul Samad and Umran Malik. They have also roped in former Proteas great Dale Steyn as their bowling coach, West Indian legend Brian Lara as batting coach, and Simon Katich as their fielding coach.
The fifteenth season of the Indian Premier League is reported to get underway from the last week of March and will last until May. The tournament will have Tata as the title sponsor for the first time, after previous title sponsor Vivo and BCCI terminated their contract mutually.
