Global investment platform XTB has announced former Swedish footballer Zlatan Ibrahimovic as its latest brand ambassador.

As part of the deal, XTB will launch Ibrahimovic in an ad campaign titled “Where your money works”, promoting its range of investment products.

The omni-channel campaign featuring the 42-year-old will be launched simultaneously in 14 markets, with a presence in video-on-demand/digital TV, outdoor and digital marketing channels, as well as linear TV in Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Romania, and Portugal.

Speaking on the collaboration, XTB’S CEO Omar Arnaout said:

Zlatan’s charisma, discipline and energy perfectly align with XTB’s essence, and I am thrilled to have him join XTB as our new global brand ambassador. Zlatan has grown to be one of the best players in the world through hard work and devotion, and it is a similar journey that we have gone through over the last 20 years. We are truly excited about this partnership, and we are sure that it will help us elevate our brand to a different level.

On the ad campaign featuring Zlatan Ibrahimovic launched on September 23, XTB’s Chief Growth Officer, Szymon Szymanski said:

Tonight after 7:30 PM on TVP, the latest XTB online investing commercial will premiere during the charity ad block.

This advertisement is significant for XTB as it introduces a new brand ambassador and a new positioning. I have been with XTB for over 5 years now, and it is a pleasure to see the journey this company has taken during that time. Expanding our product offering has allowed us to change the nature of the company and transform into a true investment app.

The new brand ambassador is Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and anyone who knows me even a little knows how much I love football. That’s why I am extremely excited about this choice, both personally and professionally.

As part of the new campaign (with more to come in the near future), we are also introducing XTB’s new positioning – “Where your money works.” XTB is a place for anyone who wants to take care of their money effectively, regardless of their risk tolerance or experience in the market. For several years, we have wanted to introduce such a product to the market because we believe that achieving appropriate investment results is only possible when we take advantage of the many opportunities offered by financial markets and properly diversify our investment activities by spreading risk.

Meeting Zlatan, spending time with him, talking about my favorite sport, and listening to his anecdotes was the greatest football-related experience of my life.

Thank you to everyone involved in making this campaign happen!
