The hosts had elected to bat first last time out, and it was a scrappy performance from Josh Inglis and Co. Barring a 52-run opening partnership, no other Australian batter got going as they huffed and puffed to 147, also thanks to some sloppy fielding from Pakistan.

With the ball, though, Spencer Johnson led the attack from the front and regularly chipped in with wickets as his five-for, along with tight performances from the rest of the bowlers, helped the home side to an 11-run win.

Pakistan bowlers, especially Haris Rauf and Abbas Afridi, bowled their hearts out but were let down by their fielders, which let Australia get around 10–15 runs more. With the bat, only Usman Khan and Irfan Khan managed to get some runs as their partnership of 58 made sure Pakistan got at least close to the target.

At Hobart, which recently has seen a lot of runs, expect the batters to fare better, while the spinners should get some assistance. The hosts are once again our favourites to win this game end the series with a clean sweep.

Fantasy XI: Babar Azam, Jake Fraser-McGurk, Josh Inglis, Mohammad Rizwan, Glenn Maxwell, Tim David, Adam Zampa, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, Spencer Johnson
