Footballer Alexia Putellas named Mango brand ambassador
Women football’s superstar and two-time Ballon d'Or winner Alexia Putellas has been roped in by the Spanish clothing design and manufacturing company, Mango.
To develop social welfare projects to promote education for children and create a positive impact on society, Mango has forged ties with the Spanish footballer, named her their newest brand ambassador.
Commenting on their association with the Barcelona Femení captain, Toni Ruiz, CEO of Mango, said: “Alexia is exemplary and has broken the mold on and off the field: a role model for younger generations for having managed to give visibility to women's sports and for promoting equal opportunities for men and women.”
“She stands out for her leadership skills and teamwork, two values that are very relevant to our company. We are very proud to have Alexia as part of our team so that together we can contribute to driving positive change,” he concluded.
Mango, itself, is no stranger to collaborations with football stars. In 2014, Mango named the legendary French ex-footballer Zinedine Zidane as its brand ambassador for its men's division. Similarly, in March last year, the brand appointed Frenchman Antoine Griezmann to star in the campaign for its Spring/Summer 2022 collection.
