Sony Pictures Networks India has acquired the exclusive broadcasting rights for the Davis Cup till 2024. The partnership will see Sony broadcast the tennis tournament in the Indian subcontinent including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, Maldives, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka on their channel and also on their OTT platform, SonyLiv. Our consistent efforts to grow the tennis viewership base in India, has led to a considerable increase in reach for all three grand slams in our portfolio.” The qualifiers for the upcoming 111th edition of the Davis Cup will have a total of 24 teams participating and will consist of four singles and one doubles game in the home-and-away format. The qualifiers will go up against the Davis Cup 2022 finalist, Australia and Canada and also up against wild card entry teams Italy and Spain.

Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev has announced a new partnership with French apparel company Lacoste to launch his own logo. The Russian will be teaming up with Lacoste to also launch his own co-branded collection. Medvedev debuted the logo at the Australian Open 2023, during his opening match against Marcos Giron, which he won in straight-sets. Starting from the Australian Open, Medvedev's kit will have his new logo, including on his shoes and racquet. The logo is inspired by 'the codes of gaming' and Lacoste states that it characterises with Medvedev's character on and off the court. The logo is in the shape of a gaming controller, with the four parts including a D on the left and M on the right, which is a nod to the Russian's initials. Right below are two lines, which symbolises the two 'i's in Medvedev's first name. The top has a circular icon, which represents a tennis ball. Below the controller-shaped design, Medvedev's name is written as 'Danii M'.
