Delhi Capitals launch NFT partnership with FanCraze?

Indian Premier League side Delhi Capitals have partnered with cricket metaverse company FanCraze, which will see them create Web 3.0 experiences and issue digital collectibles as well. The partnership will also see the Capitals become the first ever IPL team to launch their own non-fungible tokens (NFTs). Vinod Bisht, Interim CEO, Delhi Capitals. commented, "Delhi Capitals is proud to partner with FanCraze, and to launch the Indian cricket ecosystem into the next generation of sports-based assets and apps. 'We will be debuting the first Delhi Capitals NFTs in early June and are really excited to give our dans the ability to own a piece of their favourite team and players. FanCraze has shown us what is possible if one combines creators, cricketers, content, and commerce."

BKT has been serving the PBKS as their back-of-matchday-shirt sponsor since IPL 2021. Reliance Jio The Mumbai-based Indian telecom giant has maintained a sponsorship deal with all eight teams across the IPL since the 2018 season. For the PBKS, Jio was the principal back-of-shirt sponsor on the team's matchday shirt during the 2018 season, their chest sponsor for the 2019 and 2020 seasons, and currently serves as a sleeve sponsor. Dream11 Apart from being an Official Partner to the IPL itself, the Mumbai-headquartered Indian fantasy sports platform serves as the designated fantasy sports partner to seven teams in the tournament, excluding the Kolkata Knight Riders, the Royal Challengers Bangalore and the Lucknow Super Giants. Dream11 is also a PBKS sleeve sponsor for IPL 2022.

Hero Vired announced as Delhi Capitals official edtech partner The Delhi Capitals have announced an agreement with Hero Group’s e-learning company, Hero Vired, making it their official edtech partner. As part of the deal, Hero Vired will associate itself with the IPL team for a one-year period. On this partnership, Vinod Bisht, Interim CEO of Delhi Capitals said: “We, at Delhi Capitals, are constantly learning on and off the pitch to enhance our performance and stay ahead of the competition. So, we sincerely support Hero Vired’s mission to re-imagine learning in a refreshing and innovative way. I am confident that through their support we will elevate our learning experience and prepare better for the upcoming season of the IPL.” Hero Vired’s deal with the Delhi Capitals is the company’s second partnership in the sports industry, given it is also the official partner of LaLiga in India. Hero Group also has a history of having sponsorship ties in the sports industry, previously having partnered with the Cricket World Cup, the Indian Tremendous League, and the Pro Kabaddi League.
